This position reports to:
Field Service Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will deliver technical service and sales support activities for ABB Motion Service, with a primary focus on variable speed drives and associated automation solutions. You will work closely with customers across industrial segments to provide troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance, and modernization support while identifying service opportunities that enhance equipment performance and reliability. By combining strong technical expertise with customer engagement skills, you will contribute to service growth and customer satisfaction in the Vietnam market.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid
This role is contributing to the Motion Service across Vietnam and based in Ho Chi Minh City.
You will be mainly accountable for:

Delivering field service activities for ABB drives, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and technical support to ensure optimal equipment performance and customer satisfaction.

Conducting site surveys, technical assessments, and requirement gathering to identify customer needs, recommend suitable service solutions, and support modernization and retrofit opportunities.

Preparing technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with internal stakeholders, supporting service sales activities, and contributing to service order growth and business targets.

Building strong customer relationships while ensuring compliance with ABB safety, quality, and operational standards, and providing timely service reporting and documentation.
Qualifications for the role

You hold a diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.

You have experience in field service, commissioning, maintenance, technical support, or application engineering for industrial drives, motors, or automation systems.

You possess strong knowledge of variable speed drives, motor control systems, power electronics, and industrial automation applications.

You have hands-on experience conducting site surveys, troubleshooting technical issues, gathering customer requirements, and developing practical technical solutions.

You are capable of preparing technical and commercial proposals and supporting service sales activities through consultative customer engagement.

You are customer-focused, proactive, and comfortable working independently at customer sites, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

You communicate effectively in Vietnamese and English and are willing to travel frequently within Vietnam to support customer operations and project activities.
