Key job responsibilities
- Write and debug test software (Python, C/C++) for RF, audio, camera, sensor and power test stations
- Build fixtures and bench setups that prove out a new test method before it reaches the line
- Analyze production test data for yield loss, false failures and test time reduction, and quantify what your change recovers
- Run Gauge R&R, correlation and test limit studies for new stations
- Write the test plan your station ships with, and present your results to the team
A day in the life
You start the day with overnight yield and test time data from the factory, then debug a test script or fixture in the lab with your mentor. Afternoons go to a design review with hardware engineers, a DOE on a new sensor test, or a sync with our contract manufacturer team in Asia.
You get a named mentor, a weekly one on one with your manager, and a written project scope on day one. The term closes with a project presentation to AME leadership.
About The Team
AME MTE is a global team across Sunnyvale, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hanoi, and we own manufacturing test for the full Amazon Devices portfolio, from first prototype through mass production. Two positions define how we work: a failure that passes on retest is not fixed, and a number that cannot be recomputed is not evidence.
