Duties and Responsibilities

 

PR and Communications

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive PR strategy aligned with the resort’s goals and target audience, focusing on enhancing the brand image and promoting the resort’s unique offerings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local, national, and international media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive coverage and press opportunities.
  • Manage and monitor PR agencies, liaise with IHG Corporate PR and Sun Group PR and Marketing department as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute press releases and media kits showcasing the resort’s latest developments, events, and exclusive amenities to attract media attention.
  • Participate in crisis communication plan and protocol development to handle potential negative incidents or situations that could impact the resort’s reputation, ensuring a swift and effective response.
  • Organise and promote special events at the resort, such as openings, launches, and press conferences, to generate media coverage and social buzz.
  • Identify and initiate partnerships and collaborations with luxury brands, celebrities, and influencers to boost the resort’s visibility and reach.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to engage with the local community and demonstrate the resort’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and philanthropy.
  • Identify story ideas, pitch and manage agencies, host media and KOLs, and use media monitoring tools and analytics to measure effectiveness, track coverage, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.

 

Internal Communications

  • Ensure all resort staff are aligned with the brand’s messaging and aware of the latest PR initiatives and campaigns, and keep colleagues updated with what is happening at the resort.

 

Marketing Communications

  • Work with other team members to ensure PR messaging is aligned with advertising, digital marketing, content marketing, and social media themes.
  • In partnership with the Communications Manager, Assistant Marketing Manager, and R&B Marketing Manager, ensure the digital ecosystem is updated, error-free, and that paid digital activities are properly executed and monitored.

 

Collateral Development

  • Supervise the production of sales and marketing collateral, such as brochures, flyers, and in-house items, reflecting the resort’s luxury positioning.

 

Translation and proofreading

  • Act as lead Vietnamese translator and proofreader for content production.

 

Market Research and Analysis

  • Stay abreast of competitive positioning and activities, as well as consumer travel trends in key geo-markets and customer segments.
  • Ensure brand consistency and reinforcement in all marketing copy, photography and videography, communications, and programmes.

 

Qualifications

 

Technical skills

  • Media relations experience.
  • Project management experience, agency and vendor management experience are desirable.
  • Digitally savvy, quick learner in CMS systems, social media management, and photo and video production.
  • Familiarity with graphic design, terms, and process.
  • Strong technical skills, including superior Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

 

Personal capabilities

  • Fluently bilingual, English and Vietnamese required, speaking, reading, and writing at a professional level. Additional linguistic ability is a bonus.
  • International or global mindset.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge and keen interest in general consumer online trends.
  • Hospitality, travel, luxury brand, or retail experience is an asset.
