Position: Aircraft Engineering Licence Trainee (AELT)
Programme Duration: 48 months
Training Location: Overseas immersion in Xiamen
Programme Overview
The Aircraft Engineering Licence Trainee Programme is a structured engineer training scheme designed to equip newly hired maintenance trainees with the knowledge and skills required under the 145 Training Manual, ensuring they meet the operational needs of the company.
Trainees will specialize in either:
- Airframe & Engine (B1.1)
- Avionics (B2)
The programme is structured around licensing requirements and additional training mandated by HKCAD/CAAV for the Company’s 145 approval.
Total duration: 4 years, comprising:
- 2 years of basic maintenance licence training and MRO-related theoretical and practical training at the training centre
- 2 years of structured on-the-job training (OJT) at the maintenance hangar
During OJT, trainees will work under the supervision of experienced engineers, performing typical maintenance tasks and accumulating the practical experience required for licensing.
Upon completion of the scheme, trainees will be eligible to obtain their maintenance licence.
After training completion, an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer will report to the respective Manager for proper execution of production supervision and inspection duties. He or she will be authorized as maintenance-certifying staff to certify work performed within the scope of their certifying or support staff authorization.

Requirements
- A recognized Degree in Engineering or other related disciplines
- CAAV A1 licence is a plus
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good sense of safety awareness
- Self-motivated and a good team player
- Fluent in English
