Job Description

Development is the largest discipline at Endava. Our developers design, build, and deliver software products using modern languages, frameworks, and architectural patterns. As part of our collaborative cross-functional teams, they apply strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building impactful systems.

As a CSCF Software Intern, you will gain deep exposure to technologies powering the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), specifically working with the Call Session Control Function (CSCF) — a virtualized, SIP-based core component in modern telecom networks. You will learn the foundations of session signalling, network virtualization, and protocol stacks (SIP, Diameter), and contribute to internal simulation tools and diagnostics projects that emulate or support IMS behavior.

The internship is focused on learning, practice, and contributions toward:

  • Developing simulation or diagnostic tools for CSCF components such as SIP stack, or Service Invocation Modules.
  • Understanding component-based architecture and interaction with Application Servers (AS), Home Subscriber Server (HSS), and other IMS nodes.
  • Implementing or extending utilities for message parsing, session tracing, failover testing, or service triggering.

Agile and DevOps practices are used throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

If you are currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunications, or a related field, and you bring:

  • An understanding of C/C++ development,
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for telecommunication systems and network protocols (SIP, Diameter),
  • Familiarity or interest in Linux, shell scripting, Git, and debugging tools like GDB,
  • High team spirit and collaborative attitude,
  • Basic communication skills in English,

Knowledge of IMS architecture, SIP protocol, Diameter interfaces, or familiarity with networking concepts (e.g., DNS, TCP/UDP, SCTP) is a plus.
