Position objective
The Business Development Officer is responsible for supporting the Country Manager
in Vietnam in business development, sales support, client and partner
communication, project coordination, and program development.
This role contributes to identifying business opportunities, preparing proposals and
project materials, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, and supporting the
implementation of education-related projects and programs in Vietnam. The position
requires strong communication skills, a sales-oriented mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across both business development and project
coordination tasks.


Key Responsibilities
This role is conducted in a hybrid format, including both online and offline work,
subject to project and business requirements.
1. Sales and business development support
● Assist the Country Manager in identifying, approaching, and following up with
potential clients within the government, universities and private sector in
Vietnam
● Support sales and business development activities, including preparing client
databases, outreach materials, meeting notes, proposals, quotations, and
follow-up activities
● Communicate with prospective and existing clients to understand their needs,
provide relevant information, and support relationship development.
● Prepare business proposals, service packages, program introductions, and
presentation materials.
● Track business leads, client communication status, follow-up timelines
● Support the development of partnerships and collaborations with education
institutions, government organisations, and enterprises.


2. Project development support
● Assist in developing project concepts, program structures, implementation
plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
● Support the design and development of education programs, training
programs, workshops, study tours, academic activities, and related project
initiatives.
● Conduct basic research on market needs, client requirements, education
trends, competitors, and potential program opportunities.
● Prepare program documentation, including proposals, concept notes, terms of
reference (TOR), agendas, implementation checklists, and progress reports.
● Coordinate with presenters, industry experts, institutional partners, internal
teams, and clients to support program planning and delivery.
● Contribute to improve project design, program quality, and client experience. 

3. Client communication and stakeholder coordination
● Serve as a communication support point between the Country Manager,
clients, partners, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
● Draft and distribute emails, notices, meeting invitations, progress updates, and
follow-up messages in Vietnamese and English.
● Support client meetings by preparing materials, recording minutes of meetings
(MoM), and following up on agreed action items.
● Ensure that project and program information is communicated in a timely,
accurate, professional, and consistent manner.
● Assist in handling client inquiries, feedback, and basic issue coordination under
the guidance of the Country Manager or Project Lead.
● Maintain professional relationships with clients and partners before, during,
and after project/program delivery.


4. Post-delivery and relationship management support
● Monitor post-project commitments, including reports, certificates,
supplementary documentation, and follow-up communication.
● Assist in maintaining relationships with clients and partners after
project/program completion.
● Support upselling, renewal, or future collaboration opportunities
● Develop post-program sales


5. Interpretation and translation (optional)
● When required, the business development officer might be asked to provide
interpretation work (English-Vietnamese) for the presenters and knowledge
matter experts and translation of learning materials
Qualifications and Experience
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, economics, marketing, project
management, languages, international relations, public administration
● Strong interest or experience in sales, business development, client
communication, project development, or program development.
● Excellent communication skills, especially in client-facing communication,
email drafting, meeting follow-ups, and report consolidation.

● Strong organisational, progress-tracking, and document management skills.
● Ability to prepare proposals, presentation materials, meeting notes, and simple
market/client research summaries.
● Proficient in MS Office and/or Google Workspace, especially Word, Excel,
PowerPoint/Slides, and shared folders.

● Accuracy and completeness of documentation, contracts, reports, and
records.
● Level of satisfaction of the Representative Manager, Project Lead, clients, and
partners.
● Contribution to project development, program improvement, and future
business opportunities.


Confidentiality

The Business Development Officer is required to strictly maintain confidentiality of all
information related to the organisation’s operations, projects, programs, clients, and
partners, including but not limited to project data, documents, materials, internal
communications, commercial information, client/partner information, and business
development opportunities.
This confidentiality obligation shall apply during and after the period of engagement.
