Job Title: Business Development Specialist – In Robotics & AI Solutions
Location: Hanoi, Vietnam
Position Summary
As a Presale Specialist, you will act as the bridge between our technical capabilities and our
clients’ business needs, helping to design, propose, and demonstrate custom solutions. You will
work closely with engineering, and delivery teams to convert client requirements into feasible,
high-value proposals and proof-of-concepts (PoCs).
Key Responsibilities
• Understand clients’ business challenges, technical requirements, and strategic
objectives.
• Analyze, design and architect tailored solutions to meet client needs.
• Develop detailed technical proposals, solution documentation, Bill of Materials (BoM),
solution blueprints, and respond to RFPs/RFIs/tenders as needed.
• Prepare and deliver product/solution presentations, demos, and Proof-of-Concepts
(PoCs) to clients and partners showcasing how robotics/AI solutions address their pain
points and deliver business value.
• Provide technical consultation during pre-sales process;
• Collaborate with internal technical teams and product vendors to validate feasibility,
integrate third-party components if needed.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends robotics, AI/ML, automation and continuously
evaluate new technologies/solutions that could benefit clients.
• Support pre-sales activities such as documentation, bids, tender submissions, and assist
during sales process up to deal closure.
• Liaise with channel partners, system integrators (SI), and end-users where applicable to
ensure solution proposals are aligned with market demand and client expectations.
• Conduct market surveillance and benchmarking: regularly survey industry developments
in robotics/AI; track competitor products/solutions; benchmark features, pricing,
performance and positioning.
• Perform market analysis: collect and analyze market data (trends, demands, customer
segments, adoption rates) to help shape company’s go-to-market strategy, product
roadmap, solution positioning.
• Support pre-sales activities such as documentation, bids, tender submissions, and assist
during sales process up to deal closure.
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics / Automation,
Mechatronics, AI, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience (e.g. 1+ years) in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, salesengineering, or a similar role preferably in robotics, automation, AI/ML, or related fields.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution-design skills; ability to understand
complex client requirements and translate into workable technical proposals.
• Ability to create technical documentation, BoM, solution diagrams, proposals, and
RFP/RFI responses.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to lead demos, engage clients and
explain technical solutions in clear business terms.
• A collaborative team-player mindset, able to work with sales, product/vendors,
engineering, and possibly external partners (SIs).
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and stay updated on new robotics, AI, and automation
technologies and market trends.
(Optional / Preferred) Bonus Qualifications
• Experience in robotics integration (robot hardware + vision + sensors + 3rd-party
integration)
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts, computer vision, automation workflows, or cloudbased AI services.
• Prior experience liaising with system integrators (SI) / end-users for PoC / deployment.
• Familiarity with preparing high-level architecture diagrams, solution flow, and cost
estimate / BoM.
• Good command of English (or other languages) for technical
documentation/presentations
