Social Marketing Intern
As Marketing Intern, the candidate will assist the Marketing department in their corporate branding and communications efforts. His/her main duties include producing social content, preparing promotional materials and presentations, and completing clerical and administrative duties.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Create and adapt content for GEM’s social media channels.
- Support content posting, scheduling, and seeding across relevant online communities and platforms.
- Monitor social media trends, conversations, and competitor activities.
- Conduct market and audience research to identify relevant topics and content ideas.
- Support the team in planning and maintaining GEM’s social media content calendar.
- Assist with marketing materials, presentations, and other team activities when needed.
- Stay updated on social media trends and digital marketing practices.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Relations/Marketing Communications/ Business Administration
- Familiarity with social media strategies and platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Experience with content creation
- Good sense of visuals a plus
- Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
