Job Description:
The Role and Impact In this role, you will contribute to the UAT, development, and validation of system software across multiple layers of the software stack, including firmware, drivers, operating systems, and middleware. You will gain hands-on experience in cross-stack software optimization, reference platform development, and technical problem-solving to support Intel platforms and technologies. This internship provides a unique opportunity to build skills, apply your knowledge, and explore career paths in a collaborative environment. Business group You will be joining Intel's Foundry Automation Group, which plays a central role in developing, optimizing, and enabling software and systems across Intel's factory portfolio. The group focuses on creating cutting-edge solutions in various domains to ensure Intel platforms are equipped to deliver unmatched performance and efficiency. As part of this group, you will contribute to projects that support Intel's commitment to advancing technology and delivering innovations that shape the future. Key Responsibilities - Assist in UAT validation and deployment system software across various layers of the software stack. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize software and develop reference platforms for specific domains. - Engage in debugging, testing, and validating software, ensuring alignment with technical requirements and design goals. - Support system software development lifecycle activities, including modeling, prototyping, and proof-of-concept design. - Apply problem-solving techniques to identify and address technical challenges in software development. - Explore future career opportunities by contributing to projects that impact Intel's business goals and technology advancements.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate student in the final year of a Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a similar field, with practical experience in system software lifecycle UAT, validation, deployment and problem solving. Particularly in and demonstrated skills gained through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training.
  • Basic understanding of programming languages such as C, C++, or Python and scripting, is a plus
  • Flexsim Flexscript programming language is a plus
  • Knowledge of computer architecture and operating system internals.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to commit to on-site work arrangements for 3 to 4 days per week.
  • Ability to commit to a 6-month internship duration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, including design, debugging, testing, and validation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical team members.
